Caldwell County TRU Clubs There are currently health clubs at South Caldwell, West Caldwell, and Hibriten High schools. The health clubs are designed to give young people a voice on issues that are important to them. Our main focus is tobacco prevention because smoking kills more people every year than AIDS, car accidents, murders, suicide, and illegal drugs combined. The TRU groups are dedicated to giving the facts on tobacco use, the dangers of tobacco, and how to avoid the tobacco trap. These teens are advocates for a healthier future! About TRU Tobacco. Reality. Unfiltered., commonly known as TRU, uses testimonials of real North Carolina teens as well as hard-hitting facts to dissuade youth from using tobacco. Funded at $65 million from HWTF, this grassroots iniative includes the TRU media campaign, as well as grant programs to organizations working in all 100 counties to reduce teen tobacco use.
